Sign Shops

Minecraft

Sign shops allow players to buy and sell items using Miralis Coins (mR). They're easy to set up and automatically manage their own stock displays.

Creating a Player Shop

To create a shop, you need a Sign and a Chest (or any container like a Barrel or Shulker Box).

Setup Steps

  1. Place a container — Put down the chest, barrel, or shulker box that will hold your shop's stock.
  2. Place a sign — Attach a sign to the block directly in front of the container.
  3. Format the sign using this layout:
Line Content Example
Line 1 [Amount] [Price] 64 100
Line 2 Item name or description (optional) Diamonds
Line 3 Your shop name (optional) Stubo's Shop
Line 4 Leave blank — Miralis manages this [Stock: 0]

Example

64 100
Diamonds
Stubo's Shop
[Stock: 0]

This shop sells 64 diamonds for 100 mR per purchase.

Stock Management

Miralis automatically tracks the items inside the container behind the sign. The 4th line of the sign updates periodically with the current stock level.

Stock Color Coding

The stock text changes color based on how many items remain:

Color Meaning
Red Less than 10 items remaining
Yellow Between 10 and 39 items remaining
Green 40 or more items remaining

Buying from a Shop

  1. Right-click the sign — A confirmation message appears in chat showing the item, quantity, and price.
  2. Right-click again — Confirm the purchase. Items are added to your inventory, mR is deducted from your balance and credited to the shop owner.

Both buyer and seller must be integrated with Discord for transactions to work.

Server Shops

Miralis provides several special server-operated shops, typically located at the market (/miralis market to teleport, costs 5 mR):

Trail Shop

Purchase cosmetic particle trails that follow you as you move. Over 28 different trails available. After purchase, you get a clickable button to equip immediately.

Server Effects Shop

Pay-per-use shops that let you change server settings temporarily:

Time Set the time of day.
Difficulty Adjust the server difficulty.

Troubleshooting

Error Solution
"Sorry, it appears as though there's not an inventory here!" Make sure the chest is directly behind the sign relative to the direction the sign is facing.
"Sorry, you need to be integrated to be able to use shops" Link your Minecraft account to Discord using !integrate [username] in the Discord server.
Stock not updating? Stock refreshes periodically (every few minutes) or whenever someone interacts with the sign.
