WHAT IS MIRALIS NETWORKS?

Miralis Networks is the evolution of toxicSynergy, rebuild and reimagined. We wanted a new image with a bigger focus on gaming and events. It does exist as a separate entity, however it does have some relation. More money is involved with Miralis, bigger features and a lot more community care than before. Completely reimaged subsystems, more admin friendly features for administrating the community. A solid growth plan that guarantees healthy and big growth!

WHY THE CHANGE?

toxicSynergy’s public image wasn’t it’s greatest. Members didn’t want to invite their friends over to toxicSynergy as there was a lot of in-jokes, a shitton of immaturity and non-politically correct discussion, people feared that they’d be labeled as some kind of nazi by their friends for associating with us, and the general behaviour made people a bit uncomfortable and unable to engage with the community as they should. We couldn’t approach streamers to advertise us as they would not be associated with us, and some of the admins, including ourselves, were getting a bit tired of babysitting something that really shouldn’t need to be babysat.

OKAY, SO WHAT’S DIFFERENT?

I believe a list is probably the best way to go about this.

• Sheer politically incorrect discussion is no longer tolerated by any means, blatant homophobia, sexism and racism is no longer permitted, we will allow dark humour and jokes but if your message is to offend, you will be promptly removed. Do mind that we have members daughters/sons playing on our servers.
• Administrators are Core Members, Gamemasters are admins in our public game servers and moderate the discord, and moderators are purely to moderate the discord.
• The Admin and Gamemaster teams are fresh and new to their role, though some are from TXSN, a fair amount are not, and the ones from TXSN were not Core Members at the time.
• Ignition is running on the newest update including it’s new gambling, inventory, achievement, GameDirector, achievement, auction, profiles, community teams/factions, vc emojis, equiptment, commandrework, crafting, minievent, invite tracking, lootboxes and lottery subsystems. Though most of these are currently disabled until a few moments after public release.
• The age band for members is a lot higher than toxicSynergy members, the average age of miralis members now ranges into the 28 – 32 bracket.
• Members are involved in a monthly meeting that is hosted by myself, every month we all pile into a VC and discuss Miralis, next events, new features, updates, growth plans, and finances.
• Members are treated to a monthly challenge in various games, currently right now we have the best ATM8 build by September 8th – winner gets £200 directly into their paypal.
• You will see a few familar faces in Miralis but there’s quite a few you most likely haven’t seen!
• We have simultaneous servers on the go instead of focusing on one.

SO HOW DO I ACT?

As you do usually – we’re not telling you that you cannot joke around or have a laugh or anything, just tone down the sharper edges a little bit, we still have a memeshit channel now called lmaopics where you can still dump your memes, we just need to look a lot more presentable to the public now.

I KNOW SOME PEOPLE ALREADY IN MIRALIS, WHY WERE THEY INVITED BUT NOT ME?

It is nothing personal at all, members of TXSN were able to access the Miralis discord via the old TXSN Patreon server and one of my personal servers, and we wanted to get things a little more fixed up before we fully allowed TXSN members to join our community. From there, some TXSN members invited other members and that’s what’s happened here. So if you didn’t get an invite or anything along those lines, it wasn’t anything personal, we just wanted things to be ready first.
